The Goddess Revisited

2007

“The Goddess Revisited” – a sculptor’s celebration of Life and Womanity’s mysteries – was produced in 2007 after a decade-long hiatus. The exhibit is composed of maquette- sized bronzes from 18-33cm in length, originally inspired by a palm-sized archeological memento called The Sleeping Lady of Malta, who had generous ample hips and a small head and hands/feet.

These fertility Venuses and Mother Goddess figures were the product of field research in the Mediterranean isle of Malta, where the artist visited the remains of temples for healing and dream incubation that have been standing since Neolithic times.

This body of works is part of her continuing search for the Sacred Feminine.
