GALLERY OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT:
  • Founder and President of Pinaglabanan Galleries in San Juan, dedicated to the memory of her late father, and to the development of contemporary Philippine art.
  • Pinaglabanan Galleries in San Juan was closed in 1990. However, the non-stock, non-profit organization that runs it, Pinaglabanan Galleries Inc., has remained active as (i) an organizer and sponsor of exhibits in other venues, and (ii) a source of research support for foreign curators and researchers visiting the Philippines (from countries such as Japan, Thailand, Cuba and U.S.A.).
  • Among the exhibits Pinaglabanan Galleries co-organized and/or co-sponsored are "Altars" (Australia Centre, 1995), "Philippine Sculptures 1998" (Greenbelt Park, 1998), "Sulyap sa Makiling" (Glorietta Center at the Ayala Center, 1998).
  • Arellano directed the preparation of the bibliography of modern art in the Philippines for the catalogue of "New Art From Southeast Asia 1992", published by the Japan Foundation.
STAGE DESIGN EXPERIENCE:
  • Design of the stage sculpture, masks and other set pieces in the production of Anton Juan's play entitled "Death In The Form Of A Rose/Kamatayan Sa Hugis Ng Rosas" staged at the Faculty Center Studio, U.P. (1991)
  • Root sculptures as part of the stage set in Anton Juan's "The Bacchae" held at the Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theatre, U.P. She also contributed to costume design as well as dressed the house with an installation of several of her old and more recent sculptures. (1992)
  • "Rape of the Sabine Women" as set design for one of the pieces in a dance performance entitled "Trilohiya", directed and choreographed by Anton Juan, and staged at the CCP Small Theatre (1993)
  • Set design for "Cosmicfunkydelictaste" rock concert, Music Museum, Manila (1996)
  • "Tatlong Buddhang Ina" as set of "Gawis Tako", a concert ritual performance of the Pinikpikan band & Grace Nono held at the Baguio Convention Center, during the 5th International Baguio Arts Festival. (1999)
  • Set design incorporating the floor piece "Eshu" for "Mad @ the Met" a music, arts, dance event to launch the CD "Atas" by Pinikpikan. (2000)
  • Set design for "Obra Encantada ", to launch the CD of the same title by Pinikpikan, at the CPR Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. (2001)
